Each year, JBJC hosts an Annual Meeting, in which members contribute short talks, and a Karger Workshop, a symposium that focuses on a single topic (see below). The next Annual Meeting will be held Friday, 16 October 2009 at the Congress Plaza Hotel and Convention Center, Chicago IL. Deadline for abstract submission was 22 May 2009.

The Karger workshop is an all-day forum held the day before the JBJC Annual Meeting, in which a single topic in comparative and evolutionary neuroscience is explored in depth.  The workshops are generously supported by Karger Press.

The next Karger Workshop, Vision with an Eye to Ecology, is being organized by Douglas Wylie (Univ. of Alberta), and will be held Thursday, 15 October 2009 at the Congress Plaza Hotel and Convention Center, Chicago IL.
