The Thomas Karger Award
The Thomas Karger Award in Evolutionary Neuroscience is in honor of Dr. Thomas Karger, who has been a generous supporter of the J. B. Johnston Club for 30 years. It is awarded to a young investigator who, at the time of his or her application, is a candidate for the Ph.D., or is within a year of having received the Ph.D. The award carries a monetary prize, a year's complimentary membership to the J.B. Johnson Club, complimentary registration to both days of the meetings and the opportunity to present her/his work at the annual meeting of the J. B. Johnston Club for Evolutionary Neuroscience.
Please consider applying if you are eligible and encourage young investigators you know to apply. Candidates should fill out an application and submit a 1000 word summary of his or her research and its significance as applicable to the goal of promoting evolutionary neuroscience, along with any publications that have resulted from the research. Applications for the Karger Award are due November 1, 2025.
